Pendére is a woman-owned business formed in 1993 to provide IT strategy, consulting, and training services to Fortune 1000 companies and the federal government. We have an impressive client list that continues to grow. Our approach provides high quality services that deliver business value to our clients. Janet K. Ply, PhD – Co-Founder of Pendére, Janet has over 20 years experience in high end program management and process improvement consulting. She has successfully managed contracts over $500M and 400+ people for the federal government and commercial companies. In addition, she has extensive experience implementing successful process improvement initiatives. Janet has successfully built a number of Program Management Offices (PMO’s) to oversee enterprise initiatives. She has also provided legal support to several clients on failed projects and has led the succesful turnaround of a number of troubled programs.
She is a Project Management Professional (PMP), a certification awarded by the Project Management Institute (PMI) and has served on the board for the Austin PMI chapter. She has been a frequent guest lecturer at the University of Texas McCombs Graduate School of Business and an adjunct professor for the Masters in Project Management Program at St. Edward’s University. She is a frequent speaker on topics related to managing business transformation initiatives, program management, building successful PMOs, and process improvement. She has developed both commercially available and in-house project management certification programs.
Janet holds a PhD in Information Technology from George Mason University; an MS in Engineering from UT Austin; an MS in Procurement and Acquisition; and a BS in Math.
